Comment on: Retrospective study of patient characteristics and treatment for mucormycosis in post-COVID-19 population

We read with interest the article ‘Retrospective study of patient characteristics and treatment for mucormycosis in post-COVID-19 population in a tertiary care hospital’ by Lakshmi et al.1 The purpose of their study was to investigate patient cases of mucormycosis that followed COVID-19 infection.
